Make your own MegaBOX v2.1 DVD. |
- Download MegaBoX
v2.1.ISO file.
- Burn it with your favorite recording program on a DVD media. Find the option "Burn image file" ("MegaBoX_v2.1.ISO" file is a DVD image). It is better if you burn it, slow and on a good quality DVD.
- Find install details in this link.

Install updates. |
- Download update file.
- Open it on your MegaBoX system, just
"click" on it. It will open it with the
default program: "startupdate".
- If there is no more instructions,
you are done.
Note: the script knows if the update is
allready installed, so you do not do it
twice. If you want to "force" an update, you
must delete manually "/etc/updates/UPDATE_NAME_FILE"

Create Install USBSTICK |
- Download this.
- Unzip to the USBSTICK or FLASH
device (do not make any folder)
- Copy the file ps3da1-megabox-??-??-??.tgz
fron the DVD at /PS3/rsync/ to the same
folder on USBSTICK or FLASH device at
/PS3/rsync/
- Go the the PS3 and do the install as
usual and reboot.
When the install menu comes up, you will
have two options:
- install on PS3 40,80,160GB - this is
for newer version no card-slot (sda1 is
choosen).
- install on PS3 60GB First version -
This is for first model with slot-cards
built in (sdd1 is choosen).
You can choose with UP/DOWN from your
gamepad. |
